QC Electrical Engineer - Indo Pacific Region

 We are looking for a Quality control Electrical Engineer  who will be responsible to ensure the quality and compliance of all electrical works on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying electrical installations and ensuring they align with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.

This position requires relocation to Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands where housing is provided and likely includes future relocations to other Pacific island locations.

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC roles for electrical systems within the construction industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
  • Experience with documentation and inspection for large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals for compliance with contract requirements.

  • Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists for electrical works.

  • Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems including power distribution, grounding, lighting, cable trays, conduit work, fire alarm, BMS, and low-current systems.

  • Verify installation activities and ensure compliance with standards such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local regulations.

  • Perform inspections of materials and equipment (e.g., panels, cables, breakers, switchgear) upon delivery and installation.

  • Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and third-party agencies on quality matters.

  • Prepare and maintain quality control documentation including Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), test reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and as-built drawings.

  • Assist with testing and commissioning of electrical systems and prepare final inspection reports.

  • Participate in quality audits and support root cause analysis for recurring quality issues.

  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and integrated into all quality control processes.
