Narrative on Experience:
This project is a Design-Bid-Build project with some Design-Build scope to construct the single-story Consolidated Squadron Operations Facility with a floor area of 37,760 square feet inside Al Udied Air Base in Qatar. This administrative facility house six rotational flying squadrons and has an operational need for adequate space in planning, briefing, and supporting operational personnel.
As the prime contractor, MVL provided all the workforce, equipment, and temporary facilities needed for construction. In addition, because the project is inside an active military base, MVL secures all the required badges for base access and provides all the necessary insurance and bonding for its workers.
Aside from the civil, structural, architectural, electrical, communication, mechanical, and fire protection of the building, we also constructed all the needed utilities and site developments such as roads, force protection, and storm drainage system.
Part of the design scope is the complete design of the fire protection system, verification of foundation design as per the geotechnical investigation, and the site electrical distribution system (which was done by the sole power provider on the base).
